Andrea Orris

Andrea Orris is a former Elite and NCAA D1 Gymnast who has 11 years gymnastics coaching experience.  She served as the Illinois State University Assistant Coach and Head Choreographer for 3 seasons. She also coaches USAG Level 3-10 athletes.  Andrea has coached numerous State champions, Regional and National qualifiers, as well as coached an athlete to an NCAA D1 Full Scholarship. She also teaches group fitness/flexibility classes to all ages.
As an athlete, Andrea was a Full Scholarship athlete at ISU.  She graduated with 1st Team All-Conference Honors, as well as being named the 2010 MIC Senior Athlete of the Year.  Before attending ISU, Andrea was a level 10/Elite gymnast at World Olympic Gymnastics Academy in Plano, Tx.  She trained alongside Olympic AA Champions Carly Patterson and Nastia Liukin.  Her coach was Olympic Team Head Coach Valeri Liukin and Natalya Marakova,  Andrea was a 2-time Junior Olympic National Qualifier.  Andrea is also a former member of the Gamma Phi Circus where she performed in Hand-balancing, Russian Swing, and Teeter Board.
Andrea’s goal is to teach gymnastics, acro skills, and flexibility in a very encouraging and safe environment.  She believes in coaching the person first, athlete second.
