Paola Acevedo was born and raised in San Juan, Puerto Rico. Her passion for dance was evident at a young age. At the age of 15 she had the privilege of receiving a full scholarship at School for the Performing Arts, Guaynabo, P.R. Where she got the opportunity to train in Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Modern Dance, Contemporary, Tap, Salsa, Aerial Silks and be part of Drama Danza Company. She traveled to New York and Las Vegas and received a scholarship to attend the SYTYCD Experience and Pulse Conventions. She also had performed in one of the most prestigious dance festivals in Puerto Rico the, “International Dance Festival, P.R.”, worked with major artist such as J-Balvin, Luis Fonsi, 50-Cent, Flo-Rida, Bad Bunny, Snoop Dogg & more.
Over the past years Paola has being focused of polishing her craft and training and in 2016 she decided to take a lip of faith and come to California for the Millennium Dance Complex Certificate Program. Shortly after she got signed with Movement Talent Agency, one of the top dance agencies in Los Angeles & currently is signed by Go 2 Talent Agency. She is also constantly challenging herself and now is training on stunts for film and television & wire harness.
She is a versatile dance in all styles under the guidance of some of the LA’s finniest teachers including: Nika Klujn, Michelle “JERSEY” Maniscalco, JR Taylor, Kenya Klay, Gustavo Vargas, Brian & Scott Nicholson and Marty Kudelka, Amy Allen, Jhesus Aponte & she has completed multiple dance workshops & mentorship programs like GET SCHOOL.ED Mentorship Program with Justin Timberlake’s choreographer Marty Kudelka, WHAT MOVES WORK by Richy Jackson choreographer of Lady Gaga, Amy Allen’s Mentorship & Eden Shabtai’s training program, to name a few.
Paola is part of the faculty at The Industry Dance Academy, Creation Station & Millennium Dance Complex. She has a Bachelor Degree in General Communications & Advertising form the Universidad del Sagrado Corazon Paola can’t wait to see what the future holds and looks forward to work as a professional dancer, sharing her love and passion for dance!
