April Ayers

Ballet

April Ayers trained at many of the top schools in the country; including San Francisco Ballet School, School of American Ballet, and Pacific Northwest Ballet. She is a 1983 high school graduate of the UNCSA. She has also studied under scholarship with a number of master teachers; including Alonzo King, David Howard, and Richard Gibson. April danced professional ballet as a company apprentice with BalletMet in Columbus, Ohio. Unfortunately a serious back injury ended her dance career early. April continued to pursue a career in the performing arts. She worked in theatre, film and television as an actress and became a proud Member of the Actors Studio. She is also the proud mother of three beautiful children. April has 12 years of teaching experience and is dedicated to raising the quality standards of ballet training in Los Angeles. She is an ABT® Certified Teacher, who has successfully completed the ABT® Teacher Training Intensive in Pre-Primary through to level 3 of the ABT® National Training Curriculum. April’s passionate teaching style inspires her students to achieve strong and healthy ballet technique, while expressing the joy in their hearts which comes from being a dancer.
